This Minority Mental Health Month, Therapy for Black Girls is exploring how we as Black women can free ourselves from the externally and internally imposed pressures of showing up as “superwomen.” Through a series of themed virtual events, we’re encouraging one another to prioritize our wellbeing and foster healthier, more authentic relationships with ourselves and those we love.

Ready to Hang Up Your Cape?
All month long we will ask ourselves “Can I really not afford to put this down?” Our hope is to bring awareness to the ways in which we extend and overextend ourselves to family, co-workers, and friends while often leaving very little room for our own needs, wants, and desires. It’s now time for us to hang up our capes and take time for ourselves.
