Session 74: Body Image & Black Women Athletes

The Therapy for Black Girls Podcast is a weekly conversation with Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, a Licensed Psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia, about all things mental health, personal development, and all the small decisions we can make to become the best possible version of ourselves.

Today’s episode features my conversation with Natalie Graves, LCSW, CADC, all about Black women athletes and body image. Natalie and I discussed some of the common concerns Black women athletes face, how Black women’s bodies are seen and critiqued in sports, and we discussed body image issues as it relates to athletes but also to Black women generally.
